Our Commitment
Kahaleali’i is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, including those with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, or other disabilities. We strive to adhere to accepted standards for accessibility and usability, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Measures to Support Accessibility
To achieve this, we have undertaken or are undertaking the following:

  • Ensuring that all images include meaningful alternative (“alt”) text or appropriate descriptive labels so that screen reader users can understand content.

  • Using semantic HTML elements (headings, lists, paragraphs, etc.) for meaningful structure.

  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and background to make content legible for users with low vision.

  • Designing the site to be navigable via keyboard, to support users who cannot use a mouse.

  • Providing captions or transcripts for video or audio content (where applicable).

  • Ensuring focus indicators are visible when navigating via keyboard.

  • Testing across different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) and browsers.

  • Regularly reviewing and updating content for clarity, readability, and accessibility.

Known Limitations & Ongoing Work
Despite our efforts, there may be areas we haven’t yet fully addressed or improvements still in progress. For example:

  • Some older content or images may have missing or non-ideal alt text.

  • Some third-party elements or embedded content may not fully meet WCAG standards.

  • Video content (if any) may not yet have complete captioning or transcripts in all cases.

We are working to address these gaps, prioritizing content most used by customers first.

Third-party Tools
Some content (e.g. embedded video, social media widgets, shopping cart tools) is provided by third parties, which may limit our ability to control accessibility fully. We are committed to working with our vendors to ensure their tools meet—or are upgraded to meet—accessibility best practices.

Formal Compliance
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and hope to exceed it wherever possible.
